To help adults with physical disabilities live independently. 

VISION STATEMENTS:

1. Create and sustain an environment which facilitates continuous growth through support and learning.
2. To support participants to have autonomy to make their own choices and advocate for themselves.
3. Promote community integration and inclusion for HIL’s participants by increasing public awareness and acceptance.

Homes for Independent Living was founded by the Canadian Paraplegic Association in 1980. Homes for Independent Living was incorporated as a non –profit charitable organization to support individuals with physical disabilities; its focus on promoting independence and providing access to accessible housing in the community.
