MISSION STATEMENT

To help adults with physical disabilities live independently. 

VISION STATEMENTS:

1. Create and sustain an environment which facilitates continuous growth through support and learning.
2. To support participants to have autonomy to make their own choices and advocate for themselves.
3. Promote community integration and inclusion for HIL’s participants by increasing public awareness and acceptance. 
 
 

Staff Training Program

In accordance with the Provincial Standards staff will be trained in:

• Fire and Life Safety
• Medication Awareness
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
• Standard First Aid and CPR
• Individual Program Planning
• Health and Personal Care
• Behavioral Supports

HIL wants to continue to expand the knowledge base of the staff. Management works hard each year to provide training to increase staff ability to provide quality care.
